Project Summary
bāp transforms food discovery into a fun, engaging experience that brings people together.
As the aging population continues to grow, designing inclusive travel experiences for elderly customers has become increasingly important. Travelers aged 70 and older were estimated to be the biggest spenders in 2022, with an average of $11,561 per trip. Furthermore, 62% of travelers aged 50+ plan to take at least one leisure trip in 2023, and 14% will embark on multi-generational journeys (Source: AARP). This project addresses the unique needs of elderly travelers by focusing on how to create a ‘happy and healthy aging’ travel experience.
Over 10 weeks, we developed a user-centered app concept aimed at reducing logistical pain points, fostering spontaneity, and enhancing intergenerational connection during family trips. Guided by research and journey mapping, the solution introduces features such as a visual menu, locally verified dining recommendations, an interactive feedback tool, and AR-powered navigation. These features not only simplify trip planning but also create opportunities for exploration and connection, ensuring a seamless and fulfilling travel experience for elderly customers and their families.
